According to JuveFC, Morten Frendrup is emerging as a significant target for a host of clubs across the continent including Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur. The impressive Genoa midfielder has his admirers due to his playing style and the impact he brings on the pitch, with the Italian side demanding at least €30-35 million to sell him.
The summer window is expected to see many movements, with some of the top clubs likely to look for new midfielders to strengthen their respective squad. There are a host of options in the market, although only some come to fit into the profiles clubs are looking at.
For instance, there’s big interest brewing in the background for Morten Frendrup, with the 24-year-old highly-rated Serie A midfielder revered for his high-octane style as well as work rate. Liverpool holds an interest, while he has other admirers from the Premier League as well as Italy.
Atalanta and AC Milan are among his admirers, and while Genoa have the power due to the 24-year-old highly-rated Serie A midfielder being tied until 2028, they might even consider selling. The Serie A side wants at least €30-35 million to open negotiations with any club, which may come across as reasonable, especially for Premier League teams.
Aston Villa also hold an interest alongside Liverpool, and now Tottenham are credited with an interest. The north Londoners have a top network in Italy and may have found Frendrup through one of their observers. They are in a strong position to pay, although the interest from Juventus could be a game-changer for the 24-year-old highly-rated Serie A midfielder.
Juventus are one of the top-rated sides keen on Frendrup ahead of the summer, although it’s a stretch to call them front-runners. Any midfielder in Serie A would like to play for the Bianconeri, although there are some doubts in the background before this move could materialise.
Before going into the pricing of the midfielder Juventus are hoping to resolve their managerial issue, as current incumbent Igor Tudor does like the Genoa star. Should a new manager arrive in the summer, there are no guarantees he would like Frendrup like Igor, which does cast doubts on Juventus’s overall transfer activity in the close season.
