La Liga outfit Girona have on Friday announced that head coach Míchel has been hospitalised owing to a health concern.
Girona are primed to return to action tomorrow evening, when they welcome Villarreal to the Estadi Montilivi for a La Liga clash.
Míchel, however, will not be on the sideline for the clash.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the Catalan club on Friday:
‘MEDICAL STATEMENT | Girona FC coach Michel Sánchez has been hospitalized due to a health problem. He is under medical observation as a precaution and is progressing favourably. He is receiving appropriate care and we hope for his recovery in the coming days. The coach will not be able to lead the team from the bench in tomorrow’s match at Montilivi. We appreciate your understanding and respect for his privacy at this time.’
