The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have ruled out a free agent move for Neymar Jr. this summer.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have confirmed that, despite previous claims to the contrary, no reunion is on the cards between the Blaugrana and their former winger.
The subject of Neymar’s potential return has of course long proven a major talking point in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes after the Brazilian made himself available to his former employers, amid their ongoing search for reinforcements out wide with a view to next season.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Neymar’s push for a Camp Nou comeback looks set to fall on deaf ears.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Barça have definitively put the return of the Brazilian on hold due to his repeated injuries and the emergence of Lamine Yamal, who will be the superstar of the new Spotify Camp Nou.’
