Liverpool rival Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham in Maghnes Akliouche chase

Liverpool are monitoring Maghnes Akliouche’s progress at Monaco as they could challenge many of their domestic rivals for the 23-year-old Frenchman.

According to Caught Offside, Liverpool have entered the race for Maghnes Akliouche alongside many of their domestic rivals. The Reds are monitoring the progress of the Monaco winger, with Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham all credited with an interest.

Maghnes Akliouche could be a smart transfer idea for many of the top clubs looking for a productive winger. The Monaco star has 20 goals and assists across all competition for Monaco this term, which could see the French side cash in on him as their next big sale in the market.

Monaco are very much in the category of selling their top talents for the right price, as they have done the same many times in the recent past. It remains to be seen how much they want for Akliouche, as the 20 G/A Ligue 1 whizkid will be a big sale given the level of clubs keeping tabs on his progress.

Liverpool are the latest to join the race, as they had considered him as one of the options to replace Mohamed Salah with had the Egyptian departed in the summer. However, with Salah now set to stay, the club may not be overly interested in another right winger, although they will want to bring in someone who can cover for him in times of need.

Liverpool are also linked with Takefusa Kubo, which signals their intent to add a new player to the right-wing position. As for Akliouche, Liverpool are only monitoring his situation as in due time they could take a call on whether to pursue the 20 G/A Ligue 1 whizkid from Monaco.

Premier League teams chasing Maghnes Akliouche

Liverpool are only the latest to enter the conversation for Akliouche, as the likes of Newcastle United have previously shown an interest. Tottenham are also keen, although they too have sufficient players on the right wing at the moment. Still, one cannot rule them out from making a move for the 20 G/A Ligue 1 whizkid in the near future.

Manchester United could be an interesting option for Akliouche, as the Red Devils are in the market for a new winger. They are chasing Bryan Mbeumo, who is incidentally being pursued by Newcastle United too. Should either of those teams fail in their pursuit of the Cameroonian, then Akliouche could be seen as an alternative of sorts for the Brentford star.
