The Blues have submitted an enquiry over a possible move for the Sporting CP goal machine, who will cost around €60-65 million in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Swedish striker is also a target for Arsenal and Liverpool.
Viktor Gyokeres has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the world since joining Sporting CP from Coventry City in July 2023. The Swede hit the ground running at the Primeira Liga giants and has been instrumental in their success in the last two seasons.
The 26-year-old striker has amassed 54 goals and 13 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, with his output helping Sporting CP retain the Primeira Liga title. Meanwhile, Gyokeres has piqued the attention of several high-profile Premier League clubs with his exploits, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
Recent reports have claimed that Arsenal recently presented an offer to sign the Swedish striker in the summer transfer window. The North London club’s interest in the Sporting CP talisman is understandable, considering Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have not been prolific enough in the final third.
