According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Zion Suzuki is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are concerned about Guglielmo Vicario’s performances after his inconsistent performances in the 2024/25 season. So, the North London giants are combing the market for a goalkeeper heading into the summer transfer window.
Several candidates have emerged on Tottenham Hotspur’s wishlist, with the targets including James Trafford, Guillaume Restes, Lucas Chevalier, and Marco Carnesecchi. However, Suzuki, the 22-year-old Parma Calcio shot-stopper is also a target for the Premier League outfit.
Zion Suzuki has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A since joining Parma Calcio from Sint-Truiden last summer. The highly-rated goalkeeper was a target for Manchester United before he arrived in Europe nearly two years ago. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength, particularly during his spell with Parma.
The Japanese international missed only one Serie A game in the 2024/25 season, keeping eight clean sheets while conceding 53 goals in 37 top-flight outings. Meanwhile, Suzuki’s progress at Parma Calcio has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe.
Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen on signing Zion Suzuki, with Tottenham Hotspur among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window. The North London club’s interest is understandable, as Guglielmo Vicario has blown hot and cold between the sticks in the last 12 months.
Recent reports have claimed that the Lilywhites are open to cashing in on the former Empoli shot-stopper in the summer transfer window amid his links with AC Milan. In addition, Tottenham Hotspur’s decision-makers are concerned about Vicario. So, the North London outfit must scour the market for a top-class goalkeeper, with Suzuki emerging as a viable target.
However, the 22-year-old is not the only goalkeeping target for Tottenham, with the club also closely monitoring James Trafford, Guillaume Restes, Lucas Chevalier, and Marco Carnesecchi.
