La Liga outfit Girona have early this week announced the news which fans of the club had been so eagerly awaiting.
This comes in the form of confirmation that Cristhian Stuani has put pen to paper on fresh terms in Catalunya.
Veteran frontman Stuani is for his part fresh off what proved to be another altogether productive campaign on Girona’s books.
Despite the collective struggles of Míchel’s troops, and the fact that he was afforded just six league starts, the Uruguayan racked up an impressive 11 goals and two assists.
And such efforts, in spite of his advancing years, have this week proven enough to see Stuani rewarded by those behind the scenes at the Estadi Montilivi.
As per a statement across Girona’s website and social media platforms, the 38-year-old has penned a new contract with the club, through the summer of 2026, affording Stuani the opportunity to extend his lead as the Blanquivermells’ all-time top scorer.
Seguim junts, Cristhian! ❤️🤍
