As per TBR football, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are keen on the 18-year-old wonderkid, and Arsenal have not been able to agree on a new deal with him. They have been trying to secure his long-term future, but they have not been able to secure an agreement so far. It remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old decides to move on.
Journalist Graeme Bailey has revealed that they are likely to lose the young forward this summer. He started just 10 league games last season and is looking for more first-team action. He needs to play more often in order to continue his development, and leaving Arsenal might not be a bad option for him if they fail to provide him with the necessary assurances.
“I think they’re going to lose him. Yeah, it’s looking very, very bad for them in that area – and it’s nothing to do with the finances or anything.
“I’m told he’s got his pick of clubs around Europe when he’s out of contract next summer.
“Nwaneri will be one of the most wanted players. If he gets to next summer and he hasn’t signed his contract, he’ll literally have his pick of clubs from around the world.
“He’s loved around Europe. He’s loved in England, you know. He will have Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City. He will have them all on his doorstep.”
The 18-year-old is a talented young player with a bright future, and losing him would be a blow for the Gunners. They were quite mediocre, going forward last season, and they are expected to bring in attacking players this summer. The young attacker could drop further down the order at the end of the summer transfer window.
He needs to focus on his development for now, and moving away from Arsenal could be ideal if he can get regular gametime at another club. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester City manage to convince the player to join them. They might not be able to offer him regular time either. All three clubs have quality players at their disposal, and the 18-year-old will have to accept the role of a squad player. In that case, staying at his boyhood club would make a lot more sense. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.
