Aston Villa, West Ham United rival Tottenham in Ademola Lookman chase

Tottenham are set to face stiff competition from Aston Villa, West Ham United, and five other top clubs in their pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

According to a report from Ekrem Konur, Ademola Lookman is attracting a lot of interest from across Europe, as he looks set to part ways with Atalanta. Tottenham, Aston Villa, and West Ham United are three English clubs that are very keen on signing him, but they could face competition from the likes of Inter Milan, AS Roma, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, and Galatasaray.

Lookman has only gone from strength to strength since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022. He has been involved in a total of 128 matches for the Italian club and has contributed towards 78 goals.

While the London-born attacker has been one of their standout performers over the last few seasons and still has around 18 months left on his deal, his future has been a massive talking point in recent months. Lookman does not have the best of relations with Atalanta, and given what happened with Ivan Juric recently in a European fixture, it suggests he could push for a move away.

While Juric is no longer at the club, Ademola Lookman still feels his time at the Serie A club is over. He is now ready to take the next step in his career, and there is no shortage of interest in him. Galatasaray are looking for a loan with a buy option and are hoping national teammate Victor Osihmen could help convince him.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan, AS Roma, and Napoli are ready to offer him an opportunity to continue in Italy. Atletico Madrid are willing to make a significant investment to sign him, and they have already held talks with his representatives.

Premier League clubs have their eyes set on Lookman

In England, Aston Villa, Tottenham and West Ham are very keen on Ademola Lookman’s signature. The Premier League outfits consider the former Leicester City attacker an ideal fit for their team, and they could make a move in January. His versatility and experience could come in handy for all three clubs.

With Ollie Watkins not at his best, Unai Emery would love to have Lookman in his ranks at Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Thomas Frank seeks more quality in the final third, with Dominic Solanke struggling to stay fit. The Atalanta star could certainly be a great acquisition for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, with Niclas Fullkrug and Callum Wilson on the wrong side of 30, the Hammers also want to bring in someone who can be the leader of their attack going forward, and Lookman certainly fits the bill. Atalanta, for their part, want between €55-60 million to sanction the departure of one of their most valuable assets.
