Lucas Beraldo set for PSG contract extension

Lucas Beraldo (22) is set to extend his Paris Saint-Germain contract, according to a report from L’Équipe.

There have been questions about Beraldo’s future at PSG in recent months. The Brazil international (five caps) has struggled when brought in and has seen himself fall down the pecking order. Willian Pacho is the uncontested option at LCB, and Lucas Hernandez has also deputised for the Ecuadorian.

Consequently, Beraldo has been linked with an exit from the Parc des Princes, with reports that the defender is dissatisfied with his situation at the reigning European champions. Despite that, it is L’Équipe’s understanding that he will now extend at PSG. The Brazilian’s current deal with Les Parisiens runs until the summer of 2028.

This season, the defender has played 12 games in all competitions (10 in Ligue 1 and two in the Coupe de France, a competition from which PSG have been eliminated). He has yet to appear in this season’s UEFA Champions League campaign.
