OGC Nice duo Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mohamed Abdelmonem both suffered ACL injuries at the end of last season, but both are now on the verge of making their returns to action.
The pair suffered their injuries back in April. They have been in first-team training now since the end of January, and so their return is nearing. Whilst they are not yet ready for a return to the first team, they are nonetheless now ready to get some minutes under their belts.
Both Ndayishimiye and Abdelmonem have been given the green light to participate in a friendly match, which will take place on Wednesday. They will be part of a Nice side that will face off against National 2 side Grasse, a team from the region.
That game will be part of their return to competitive action, which is expected in the coming weeks. Nice have been blighted by injuries in defence this season, and so their returns will provide a big boost.
