Arsenal, Newcastle United keen on Anis Hadj Moussa

Arsenal and Newcastle United are keen on Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa ahead of the summer, with a €35 million price point mooted.

According to Sports Boom, Anis Hadj Moussa is once again attracting the attention of Premier League giants, as a move away from Feyenoord is possible in the summer. Arsenal and Newcastle United are part of the race for the Algerian winger, with a €35 million price being mentioned in the report.

Wingers are a requirement for multiple Premier League clubs, as they look to add profiles that are unique from what they currently have. For instance, Newcastle United have used a right-footed attacker from the right side of the front three, as Eddie Howe might look for a different profile.

Howe has missed a left-footed winger since the departure of Miguel Almiron, and now they are linked with Feyenoord attacker Anis Hadj Moussa. Chelsea were keen on him in the January window and could still make their move in the summer, but the Magpies are showing serious interest in the attacker as things stand.

The idea of adding another right winger also stems from the problems they have had on that side, as the likes of Jacob Murphy and summer arrival Anthony Elanga have not performed well. Feyenoord are looking for at least €35 million for the Algerian attacker, something that might fit into the spending patterns over at St James’ Park.

Arsenal are also interested in Moussa, although their priority is not a right winger, but rather on the left-hand side. Incidentally, the Gunners are linked with Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United, with a left-sided attacker a top priority for Mikel Arteta.

Have Feyenoord Received Bids for Moussa?

Arsenal’s interest and that of Newcastle United have fuelled speculation around the €35 million-rated attacker, as Feyenoord are protected with a contract until 2030. Hence, they are in a strong position to negotiate a strong price for the Algerian, although they have yet to receive bids.

Despite the report mentioning Arsenal and Newcastle United as the interested parties, the latter might realistically be the one with the greater chance. There are other teams, such as Bournemouth, who are keeping close tabs and could enter the frame after others make their move.
