Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Jonas Urbig all had to be replaced during Bayern Munich’s 6-1 UEFA Champions League last 16 first leg triumph over Atalanta on Tuesday night.
In a statement released on Wednesday evening, Bayern confirmed the following diagnosis: Davies (hamstring), Musiala (ankle) and Urbig (concussion).
According to Bild, Musiala is expected to be sidelined for a few days, and, alongside his two teammates, will miss Bayern’s Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
Urbig, who suffered concussion after his head collided with Atalanta striker Nikola Kristovic, was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to be out for around 10 days.
It’s Davies, who came on as a substitute before having to go off again, that is out for the longest. The Canadian, who only made his comeback last month after 11 months out, left the pitch in tears with Bayern later confirming that he suffered a hamstring strain.
