According to Caught Offside, Newcastle United are bracing for enquiries from a host of their Premier League rivals as well as European clubs for Lewis Hall. The talented left-back has been impressing with his displays, attracting the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City ahead of the summer.
Newcastle United are set for a testing summer window when, once again, some of the clubs bigger than them will angle moves for their key stars. Last summer, they lost Alexander Isak after a prolonged saga with Liverpool, where the Magpies eventually caved in.
Now, ahead of the upcoming summer window, their full-backs Valentino Livramento and Lewis Hall are attracting big interest, as well as key midfielder Sandro Tonali. Livramento was the subject of recent interest from Arsenal, while Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is pushing to get the right-back in the summer.
Newcastle United might be open to selling Livramento, but their stance on Hall remains unclear, as they may have also evaded interest last summer. The Magpies are reportedly demanding around the £70 million mark for the defender, if they were put in a position to sell, as the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are considered the main contenders for the left-back.
Liverpool and Arsenal have invested in bringing new options on that side of the pitch, but it remains to be seen whether they are seeking another in the summer. Hall would be a great addition to provide competition for places in those teams, although there will be doubts over whether they are willing to fork out big for the £70 million-rated Newcastle United defender.
Manchester City’s interest also adds to the curiosity, given they have only recently added Rayan Ait-Nouri to their options, while Nico O’Reilly has also been playing at left-back. Guardiola will not hesitate to upgrade on Ait-Nouri if a player like Hall becomes available.
As for Newcastle United, they are not entirely keen on letting the defender leave, considering he is still tied down until 2029. Hence, it might take a mammoth bid from suitors like Arsenal, Manchester City or Liverpool to test the waters with the Magpies, while the player’s own wishes may also prove crucial.
