Joshua Zirkzee could be available for only €25 million this summer

Joshua Zirkzee could be made available for a price of around €25 million in the summer, which is expected to attract a few suitors.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Manchester United could be ready to accept offers in the region of €25 million for wantaway striker Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutchman is no longer seen as a big part of the club’s plans moving forward, as the updated asking price could lead to massive interest in the market.

Joshua Zirkzee has never settled in since his €42.5 million move from Bologna to Manchester United two years ago. The Dutch attacker was primed for great things when Erik ten Hag signed him for the club, but he has never had a consistent run to prove his worth.

While he has enjoyed some promising moments, Zirkzee has certainly fallen well short of the requirements for a Manchester United forward. While he was still used as a rotational option under Ruben Amorim, the minutes have massively dried up under interim boss Michael Carrick.

Carrick prefers to start Bryan Mbeumo in the No. 9 role in a changed system that has worked wonders for Manchester United. Benjamin Sesko has been the preferred option off the bench in most games under the new boss, which has seen speculation surrounding Zirkzee, with suggestions he could leave in the summer.

There were a few Premier League sides showing interest back in January, but the major attention is coming from Italy, where Zirkzee is quite well known for his talents. Manchester United are willing to sell him for a fee of €25 million, which is significantly less than the €42.5 million they paid for the wantaway star.

Will Joshua Zirkzee return to Serie A?

Manchester United are aware of the interest from Italy, where Juventus were keen to secure a loan deal in January. The Red Devils were unsure about an exit then, and so was the wantaway star himself; however, the summer window would be a good opportunity to reassess the options.

Further reports were stating Manchester United could offer Zirkzee to Inter Milan in exchange for their striker, Francesco Pio Esposito, but that has since cooled down. As things stand, if the reports of the massive price drop are true, Serie A sides will be keen to test the waters for the Dutchman in the summer.
