Juventus are negotiating with Dusan Vlahovic and appear to be leading such a race, but, at the same time, they are tracking other strikers, for instance, Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino and Udinese’s Keinan Davis. Jonathan David and Lois Openda could both be shipped off in the summer.
According to TuttoSport (via MSN), the Old Lady has taken a closer look at the Udinese star during the last Serie A round. He’s having a career campaign, having bagged 9 goals and dished out 3 assists in 27 Serie A appearances. Arthur Atta and Nicolò Zaniolo could also be discussed between the two Bianconeri teams, but their price tags are considerable.
Per Mediaset, in addition to Davis, Juventus are monitoring Pellegrino. He has been on an upward trajectory since joining Parma. After hitting the net thrice in his first six months, he has done it eight times so far.
On the other hand, basically all the top Serie A and multiple Premier League sides are eyeing him. The Old Lady might ultimately prefer a striker with a higher profile, even should they retain Vlahovic, Fabrizio Romano reports (via OneFootball).
They are star-hunting as always, especially when the transfer market is closed, then reality will set in, and most targets will be unreachable. Offloading Openda is easier said than done. Eventually, the second man would be an interesting call if they strike a deal with Vlahovic. He hasn’t fared well when he wasn’t the unquestionable top option. Conversely, if he bounces back, investing in somebody like Randal Kolo Muani would be overkill, considering their other holes. A reliable second-tier marksman would be preferable.
