Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche a doubt to face Paris FC

AS Monaco will look to extend their winning run in Ligue 1, which is now at eight games, when they head to face Paris FC on Friday night. However, they may have to do so without their playmaker, Maghnes Akliouche, as revealed by manager Sébastien Pocognoli.

France international Akliouche has excelled in recent weeks, however, he could miss the match against Antoine Kombouaré’s Paris FC. Speaking on Wednesday, Pocognoli said that his player had suffered a minor hit during last Sunday’s 2-1 win over Olympique de Marseille. He added that the academy product was hobbling when he returned to the dressing room post-match.

Whilst Pocognoli said that Akliouche is managing the injury “well”, he didn’t train with his teammates on Wednesday and instead remained in the gym. The Belgian said that he “hoped” that the playmaker will be fit to face Paris FC at the Stade Jean-Bouin on Friday night, although he said that it is not a certainty that he will be.
