Natan wants La Liga stay amid Barcelona, Newcastle United, West Ham United links

Brazilian defender Natan has been linked with a move away from La Liga at the end of the season.

The Real Betis star has done quite well in Spanish football, and he has attracted the attention of Barcelona, Newcastle United and West Ham United. According to Sebastien Vidal, the Brazilian defender wants to continue in Spain, and that will come as a huge boost for Barcelona.

They are looking to add more quality and depth to the defensive unit. Signing the Brazilian defender could be a wise decision. He is well settled in La Liga, and he could make an immediate impact. The player is likely to cost around €30-40 million.

The 25-year-old is entering the peak years of his career, and he will want to compete at a higher level. The opportunity to play for Barcelona will be hard to turn down for him. He will want to win league titles and Champions League trophies with them. Barcelona won the league title last season and is likely to defend its crown this time around.

Can the Premier League clubs convince Natan?

On the other hand, the opportunity to play in the Premier League can be quite exciting as well. It remains to be seen whether Newcastle and West Ham can convince the player to change his mind. They need to improve defensively, and the Brazilian would be an excellent addition. However, his decision to continue in Spain will come as a blow to the English clubs.

Also, joining Barcelona would allow him to compete at the highest level. At Newcastle, they are still going through a period of rebuilding. There is no guarantee they will be able to fight for trophies next season. At West Ham, they are fighting for survival in the Premier League. Natan will look to aim higher, and moving to Barcelona certainly makes more sense for him.

That said, Barcelona is facing financial difficulties, and it remains to be seen whether they can muster the funds to get the deal done. The Premier League club certainly have the financial muscle to pay up.
