Official I Sofiane Boufal confirms Le Havre exit

Le Havre’s number 17 Sofiane Boufal (32) has confirmed on his Instagram account this Wednesday that he is leaving the Normandy club following their survival in Ligue 1.

Having arrived on a free transfer after leaving Union Saint-Gilloise last winter, the Moroccan international (46 caps, eight goals) took advantage of his return to France (he has also played for Angers SCO and Lille OSC) to get back into regular first-team action.

A key player in Didier Digard’s squad during the second half of the season, Boufal featured in all 17 Ligue 1 matches (13 starts) in the return phase of the league campaign – scoring one goal and providing four assists.

A successful six-month spell, both for the team and personally, as he got picked by Mohamed Ouahbi for the preliminary squad for the 2026 World Cup with the Atlas Lions, nearly two and a half years after his last appearance for the national team.
