Ajax and Stuttgart compete to sign Strasbourg’s Sébastien Nanasi

Two years after arriving at RC Strasbourg Alsace for an €11m fee, Sébastien Nanasi (24) could leave the Ligue 1 side this season amid interest from the Bundesliga and the Eredivisie, as per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.

Whilst Nanasi has racked up 34 appearances in all competitions (10 goals, five assists), the Sweden international played a less influential role this season, especially in the bigger encounters, with Martial Godo cementing himself as the first-choice pick on the left of Strasbourg’s attack.

However, he once again ended the season with commendable figures and clubs are now showing interest as the summer transfer window approaches. As per Toubache-Ter, there is interest from Dutch giants Ajax and Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart. He adds that two bids have been tabled – albeit he does not specify from whom – worth €18m and €19.5m. Both have been rejected, he understands, with Le Racing holding out for €25m plus a further €2m in bonuses.
