Claude Puel has confirmed that OGC Nice will be without Hicham Boudaoui for the second leg of their Ligue 1 promotion/ relegation fixture against AS Saint-Étienne.
The Algeria international came off in the first half of the first leg, a 0-0 draw in Saint-Étienne on Tuesday, with a suspected concussion. Due to the protocols in place, he will miss the second leg, Puel confirmed in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
There is more positive news in regards to Elye Wahi, who missed the first leg through suspension. The Ivorian trained normally on Wednesday, Puel confirmed. There remains a doubt around the presence of club captain Dante. The Brazilian, in what would be his final game for Nice and indeed the final game of his professional career, will be assessed on Thursday, as will Tom Louchet. “There are a few small uncertainties,” added Puel.
