Life under Dino Toppmöller has got off to a bright start for RC Lens, with a win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Trophée des Champions followed up by beating ex-manager Will Still’s AJ Auxerre, 5-2, to open the league campaign.
Toppmöller is not expected to change too much from the winning formula, with Lens likely to line up in their trademark 3-4-3. The only difference should be Ruben Aguilar given a start in place of Saud Abdulhamid as the right-sided wing-back, due to an injury to the Saudi Arabian international.
L’Équipe reports that Odsonne Édouard will be left out of the matchday squad due to personal reasons, meaning that Abdallah Sima will once again start as the number nine for Lens.
