Ousmane Dembélé to extend PSG contract

Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé (28) has agreed to extend his contract with PSG, according to L’Equipe. The France international striker will put pen to paper over a two-year extension, tying to Les Parisiens until 2030. The outlet understands that this development comes as no surprise given that Dembélé already informed PSG that he wanted to stick around in the French capital, before eventually joining a non-European club. Dembélé has already been approached by Saudi Pro League sides.

Dembélé joined PSG in 2023, when Les Parisiens triggered his FC Barcelona exit clause. The Stade Rennais Academy graduate fulfilled his potential in his sophomore campaign, rather unexpectadly, as a deadly centre-forward. Dembélé has been the driving force for PSG’s run to their maiden UEFA Champions League title last year, paving the way for his Ballon d’Or win.

Dembélé helped PSG go back-to-back in Europe’s premeir club competition, stepping up to score a penalty in the final against Arsenal. The France winger has logged 61 goals and 43 assists in 138 games played with PSG. L’Equipe reports that the contract extension’s announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
