Official | PSG’s Maghnes Akliouche to replace Warren Zaïre-Emery in France squad

Paris Saint-Germain forward Maghnes Akliouche (24) replaces his club team-mate Warren Zaïre-Emery (20) in the France squad, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Monday.

Suffering from an adductor injury, Zaïre-Emery – who started last night’s ‘Classique’ match, which Les Rouge et Bleus won 2-1 against Olympique de Marseille – has been ruled out of joining the training camp at Clairefontaine.

Akliouche, who made a seven-minute appearance at the World Cup, thus returns to Les Bleus, for whom he has made 10 appearances (scoring one goal), for this September international break, during which Zinédine Zidane’s side will kick off their 2026-27 Nations League campaign with matches against Turkey, Belgium and Italy.

Having joined PSG this summer, the former AS Monaco player has featured in all eight matches (five starts) played by the reigning double European champions since the start of the season, providing one assist against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League.
