Aston Villa, Everton rival Manchester City in Gabriel Sara chase

A host of Premier League sides are angling a move for Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, who has a €40 million price tag.

According to Caught Offside, Aston Villa, Everton and Manchester City are among a host of Premier League sides keen on Gabriel Sara. The impressive Brazilian midfielder has been excellent for Galatasaray since joining from Norwich, as he could be tempted by a move back to England in the summer.

Many Premier League sides are looking to freshen up their squad using the transfer market, with few of those in search of a viable central midfielder. Galatasaray star Gabriel Sara is the subject of interest from some of the English sides ahead of the summer, with Aston Villa and Everton among those keen.

Manchester City had established contacts for the Brazilian, and he could be seen as a viable alternative to many of their other targets in the summer. Pep Guardiola has been looking for a new central midfielder to play alongside Rodri and add to his depth.

Should Sara make a move to the Etihad, he will do so without the guarantees of regular minutes, as much will depend on how well he integrates with the rest of the squad. For now, he’s probably seen as a squad player at best which does come with the chance to shine and take an important position under Guardiola.

There are other teams mentioned in the report like Wolves or Aston Villa who could potentially offer him a steady place in their teams. Aston Villa in particular are open to the idea of a new midfielder, although there are doubts about whether they can afford Sara’s €40 million asking rate set by Galatasaray. The same may extend to Everton, who are eager to strengthen their squad, but may have to tread carefully with their finances.

Galatasaray could sell Gabriel Sara

Sticking with Everton and they are planning a host of signings in the summer as they enter their brand-new stadium. Richarlison is a big target for the Toffees, although Moyes would like more strength in his midfield options as the €40 million-rated midfielder is seen as a viable option in that regard.

As for Galatasaray, they are aware of the growing interest in the €40 million-rated midfielder, and while they are eager to keep him, should any side come up with the price point, they could sell. The Brazilian himself, who spent two seasons at Norwich City might be tempted by the idea of returning to England in the Premier League.
