Galatasaray star Gabriel Sara is the subject of interest from some of the English sides ahead of the summer, with Aston Villa and Everton among those keen.
Manchester City had established contacts for the Brazilian, and he could be seen as a viable alternative to many of their other targets in the summer. Pep Guardiola has been looking for a new central midfielder to play alongside Rodri and add to his depth.
Should Sara make a move to the Etihad, he will do so without the guarantees of regular minutes, as much will depend on how well he integrates with the rest of the squad. For now, he’s probably seen as a squad player at best which does come with the chance to shine and take an important position under Guardiola.
There are other teams mentioned in the report like Wolves or Aston Villa who could potentially offer him a steady place in their teams. Aston Villa in particular are open to the idea of a new midfielder, although there are doubts about whether they can afford Sara’s €40 million asking rate set by Galatasaray. As for Galatasaray, they are aware of the growing interest in the €40 million-rated midfielder, and while they are eager to keep him, should any side come up with the price point, they could sell. The Brazilian himself, who spent two seasons at Norwich City might be tempted by the idea of returning to England in the Premier League.
