According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool are plotting a surprise move to sign French international attacker Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Nkunku is reportedly disgruntled at Chelsea, and he could be on his way out of the club in the summer after his agents sounded out several clubs. The French international has not been able to showcase his true qualities since the move from the West London club.
Although the 27-year-old has 19 goal contributions this season, he has not been at his best and has been constantly linked with a move away from the club. Liverpool could use a versatile attacker like Nkunku, and he would be a useful acquisition for them.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds come forward with an offer to sign him in the summer. They need a dynamic attacker who is capable of operating on the flanks as well as centrally. The Chelsea attacker is certainly versatile enough to do so.
