Real Madrid run rule over Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez

Real Madrid dispatched scouts to watch Bournemouth defenders Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez in the Premier League game against Arsenal this past weekend.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez are the subjects of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are keen on signing a left-back and a centre-back in the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the two in-demand Bournemouth defenders.

Los Blancos dispatched scouts to watch the two Bournemouth defenders this past weekend in the Premier League game against Arsenal. Meanwhile, the young duo are also on Liverpool’s radar, with the Merseyside club also keen on bolstering the backline by signing a centre-back and a left-back.

The rise and rise of Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez

Dean Huijsen has surpassed expectations since joining Bournemouth from Juventus last summer. Marcos Senesi’s long-term injury provided a golden opportunity for the Spanish international, and he has grabbed his chance with both hands. The youngster has turned out 33 times this season for the Cherries while chipping in with three goals and one assist.

On the other hand, Milos Kerkez is playing his second season with Bournemouth. The young left-back has only gone from strength to strength, becoming a mainstay at the back since hitting the ground running at the Vitality Stadium. Kerkez and Huijsen have piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs with their exploits, with Liverpool and Real Madrid among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

High in demand

Liverpool’s interest in Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen is understandable. The Reds are keen on signing a left-back amid Andrew Robertson’s declining form. In addition, Huijsen is a viable target, considering Virgil van Dijk is approaching the twilight of his glittering career.

As for Real Madrid, Ferland Mendy has blown hot and cold in the last few seasons, compelling Los Blancos to pursue a new left-back in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Eder Militao is an injury concern for the long run after his two knee injuries. In addition, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba are on the wrong side of 30. So, Huijsen is an option worth considering.

With Real Madrid scouting Huijsen and Kerkez, a summer move to the Santiago Bernabeu might be on the cards. However, it will be surprising to see Liverpool throwing in the towel despite Los Blancos latest effort.
