Sevilla eyeing move for Getafe boss José Bordalás

The brass at Sevilla have earmarked a rival La Liga tactician as a leading candidate to take up the managerial reins at the club for next season.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards José Bordalás as the man in question.

Bordalás, for his part, is in the midst of what has been another largely impressive campaign on the books of Getafe to date.

And his efforts, it is understood, have not gone at all unnoticed on the part of those behind the scenes at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Amid an ongoing search for a long-term replacement for García Pimienta following Joaquín Caparrós’ mid-season departure, Bordalás has been identified as a frontrunner for the Sevilla job.

The final decision, in turn, will be left to the Spaniard himself, albeit with Getafe hopeful that their beloved boss will ultimately make the call to stay put in Madrid.

So much so that the Azulones are already planning for next season with Bordalás’ presence in mind.
