Florian Wirtz on the cusp of joining Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly closing in signing 22-year-old Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz in the summer transfer window.

Florian Wirtz is one of the best players in the Bundesliga, and he has 31 goal contributions this season. He has been linked with Bayern Munich as well, but reputed Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has claims that Liverpool are one step away from signing the player.

It would be an exceptional capture for Liverpool if they can get the deal done. Wirtz is capable of operating in the central areas as well as on the flanks. He will add goals and flair to the side. So, it is hardly surprising that the Reds are pushing hard to sign him.

Liverpool need more creativity and goals in the final third, and the German international would be the ideal acquisition. They are expected to sign Jeremie Frimpong from the German club as well, and it will be interesting to see if they can wrap up a move for the Dutchman’s teammate as well.

The 22-year-old has been linked with multiple top clubs in recent months. The opportunity to join Liverpool will be quite exciting for him, and he will be able to compete at the highest level with them. Liverpool have won the Premier League title this season, and they are an attractive destination.

The Reds have been pushing for major trophies consistently over the last few years. It is no surprise that the player is open to joining this summer. He is likely to cost a substantial amount of money, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can secure an agreement with his club.

Wirtz has turned down Bayern Munich

Initially, Florian Wirtz was expected to join Bayern Munich, but it seems that he has turned down the opportunity to join the Bundesliga champions. He is looking for a fresh challenge away from the Bundesliga, and a move to the Premier League would be ideal for him.

Regular football in England could help him improve further and fulfil his tremendous potential. The 22-year-old German international has all the attributes to develop into a world-class player, and Liverpool would do well to secure his signature.
