Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman do not want Newcastle United move

Bayern Munich attackers Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman are reportedly not interested in joining Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.

According to an update by reputed German journalist Christian Falk on Caught Offside, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman are the subjects of interest from Newcastle United. The Magpies are combing the market for wide attackers heading into the summer transfer window. So, the Bayern Munich duo has emerged on the Tyneside club’s wishlist.

However, Sane and Coman are not interested in joining Newcastle United in the summer transfer window. The former wants to stay at Bayern Munich amid his healthy relations with several teammates at the Allianz Arena. As for Coman, he will likely remain at Bayern Munich if the Bundesliga champions part ways with Sane.

Leroy Sane has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Bayern Munich from Manchester City in a big-money deal in July 2020. Nevertheless, the German international has been decent in the 2024/25 season, amassing 13 goals and six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions. However, he faces an uncertain future at the Allianz Arena after entering the final few weeks of his contract.

Kingsley Coman has also endured a topsy-turvy ride at Bayern Munich, although he has been at the Allianz Arena for a longer time. The Frenchman has played his part in a successful season for Die Roten, chipping in with seven goals and four assists in less than 2,000 minutes of game time. However, Coman faces an uncertain future at Bayern Munich heading into the summer transfer window.

Interestingly, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman feature on Newcastle United’s wishlist, with the Tyneside outfit keen on signing a world-class wide attacker in the summer transfer window. The Magpies parted ways with Miguel Almiron in the winter transfer window, and they are eager to replace him this summer.

So, it is hardly surprising that Sane features on Newcastle United’s wishlist. As for Coman, recent reports have linked the French international with several Premier League clubs. However, he may remain at the Allianz Arena if Sane departs from the Allianz Arena as a free agent in the summer transfer window.

However, neither Bayern Munich attacker wants to join Newcastle United, with Sane insisting he is well-settled at the Allianz Arena. So, the Magpies must look elsewhere for a wide attacker, with recent reports linking them with Jamie Gittens.
