AJ Auxerre, after securing their place in Ligue 1 for next season, are set to welcome two new players to their ranks.
L’Équipe understands that Josué Casimir (23) is close to joining the club on a free transfer. The forward opted against renewing his contract at Le Havre AC, who narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the Ligue 1 campaign. The winger is expected to join L’AJA imminently. Last season, in 27 matches in Ligue 1, he scored four goals.
He is not expected to be the only arrival at Auxerre. As reported by L’Équipe over the weekend, Watford’s Francisco Sierralta is expected to also join the Ligue 1 club. He will join in a deal worth €1.8m, a figure initially reported by La Tercera. The Chilean centre-back will then sign a four-year deal with the French side. At the back end of last season, Sierralta had fallen out of favour at Watford.
