New Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold had a surprise in store for all in attendance at his presentation at the club on Thursday.
This came by way of unveiling his fine grasp of the Spanish language.
Today is of course ‘Alexander-Arnold day’ in Spain’s capital.
The right-back was officially confirmed to have penned terms with Real Madrid late last month, ahead of the expiration of his contract with Liverpool.
International commitments, though, saw Alexander-Arnold’s presentation in front of the media delayed.
This morning, as much, in turn, was finally forthcoming, as fans the world over were afforded a first glimpse at the 26-year-old donning Blancos colours.
And as alluded to above, during his unveiling, Alexander-Arnold made use of the opportunity to drop a surprise.
After fielding questions from the journalists in attendance, the defender read out a self-written speech.
The surprise, though, come in the fact that Alexander-Arnold delivered as much in flawless Spanish!
