Ousmane Dembélé is the only major absentee for Paris Saint-Germain as they get their FIFA Club World Cup campaign up and running against Atlético Madrid on Sunday night.
Dembélé, the standout player in PSG’s triumphant UEFA Champions League campaign, suffered a muscular injury while on duty with France. The injury, suffered during the 5-4 UEFA Nations League defeat to Spain, is expected to rule the forward out of the group stages of the Club World Cup, although he is expected to return, should Les Parisiens progress.
In his place, it is expected to be Gonçalo Ramos who leads the line for PSG, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué on either side of the Portuguese striker. Gabriel Moscardo, who has joined up with the squad following his season-long loan at Stade de Reims, is the only other absentee. He is not yet at full fitness.
