After a damaging defeat in the opening game of their tournament, Atletico Madrid take on Seattle Sounders in the Club World Cup on Thursday night knowing it will be a must-win tie if they want things to be in their hands going into the final group game. Los Rojiblancos went down with a whimper to Paris Saint-Germain 4-0, but will be confident of their chances of going through still.
The line from Los Colchoneros is that Atletico must do more following their loss to PSG, albeit they did have praise for the European champions. They will be heavy favourites for the clash, and all the pressure will be on Diego Simeone’s side, but the reality is they should in theory have the quality to get past the Sounders.
The Major League Soccer team lost their first game to Botafogo 2-1, and with PSG to come in their final group game, will feel they also need to win in order to stand a chance of making it through.

The left-sided combination of Javi Galan and Samuel Lino has also been infrequent, and may not be repeated.
