Atletico Madrid keen on Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson

Atletico Madrid could explore a move for Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson with the attacking duo from Chelsea likely to depart.

According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid could take advantage of Chelsea’s need to trim their squad after a raft of new arrivals. Diego Simeone’s side are keen on their attacking duo Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson, as the Argentine boss views them as good additions to the frontline.

Many clubs are already looking closely at the situations of a few important Chelsea players after a raft of new arrivals this summer. The Blues have persisted with their tried and tested formula of revamping sections of their squad and bringing upgrades, as the attacking setup has been their focus this time.

Liam Delap’s early arrival marked the beginning of what may become a top-notch summer window for Chelsea so far. The club have agreed on a deal for Jamie Gittens while they recently announced the signing of Joao Pedro from Brighton in a deal worth around £60 million including add-ons.

They are rumoured to chase another attacker with Mohammed Kudus and Alejandro Garnacho still being considered. With the current arrivals, there are already doubts over a few of their current final third stars, as one more arrival will all but confirm the prospect of the club selling the likes of Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson’s camp have already begun exploring the prospect of a change, especially after the arrivals of Delap and more importantly Pedro. As for Madueke, Arsenal are already linked with a move for the winger, although he might make the switch to a side where he has a far more important role compared to what the Gunners might potentially offer.

Atletico Madrid interested in attacking duo from Chelsea

Atletico Madrid have come to the fore for the attacking duo from Chelsea, as Diego Simeone might consider bringing in both Madueke and Jackson. The idea behind the chase is to add to the current options, as the Argentine manager views Jackson as a viable competitor for Alexander Sorloth, while the Madrid-based side have been looking for a wide attacker in this window.

Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho was a target, but the costs involved for the Argentine could be the reason why the attacking duo from Chelsea are viable options at the moment. The report names Jackson’s price at around €50 million while rating Madueke’s to €30 million, although Chelsea might end up asking significantly more.
