Aberdeen make €500,000 offer for Ajaccio’s Moussa Soumano

Aberdeen have made an official bid for AC Ajaccio striker Moussa Soumano (19), according to L’Équipe. The report states that the bid is worth €500,000.

Despite finishing 12th in Ligue 2 last season, Ajaccio have been provisionally relegated by the DNCG. As the club await an official takeover, any permanent deal would be an important influx of funds. The club spent much of last season in the midst of a financial crisis.

Soumano began his youth career at Red Star. In 2021, he moved to the Corsican club Ajaccio. He has made 66 appearances for the club and scored five goals. The 2024-5 campaign was his most successful to date, with four goals and two assists in 27 appearances.

Aberdeen finished fifth in last season’s Scottish Premiership. Having already signed Kusini Yengi from English Championship side Portsmouth, the Dons appear intent on further bolstering their front line.
