The Red Devils are keen on reinforcing their midfield unit by signing a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Club Brugge prospect has emerged as a target for the struggling Premier League giants.
The Belgian giants are demanding a base fee worth €35 million to part ways with the Cham native in the summer transfer window. However, Jashari has dealt a blow to Manchester United’s prospects, as he wants to join AC Milan, with the Serie A giants offering a package worth €35 million, including add-ons.
Ardon Jashari has made considerable progress since joining Club Brugge from FC Luzern last summer. The 22-year-old did not take long to settle down at the Belgian club, and he has been a pivotal figure for the team from the get-go. The highly-rated midfielder won the Jupiler Pro League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards for the 2024/25 campaign.
The Swiss international turned out 52 times in the 2024/25 season for Club Brugge while contributing to ten goals by finding the back of the net four times and providing six assists. Meanwhile, Jashari’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Premier League outfits, in particular, are keen on signing him, with Manchester United among his prospective suitors in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United’s interest in Ardon Jashari is understandable. The Red Devils have parted ways with Christian Eriksen as a free agent. However, the Belgian giants want a base fee worth €35 million and add-ons of around €3 million. So, AC Milan and Club Brugge do not have a big gap to bridge, and it will be interesting to see how quickly the Rossoneri can wrap the deal to sign the 22-year-old Swiss international.
