According to a report from TheBoyHotspur, Real Madrid and AC Milan are both interested in acquiring the services of Destiny Udogie. They are plotting a raid on Tottenham for the Italian defensive sensation, who is open to negotiations if Spurs give the green light to the move.
On the back of an impressive season with Udinese, the North London club signed Udogie in the summer of 2022. In order to ensure he gets regular game time to develop his game further, they decided to let him continue at the Italian club for another year.
He made the move to Spurs in 2023 and has already established himself as a key figure in the team. The full-back already has 66 first-team appearances for the Premier League outfit. While he did miss a few games because of a hamstring injury last season, the 22-year-old was involved in a total of 36 matches, and he certainly did put up quite a few impressive performances.
His sensational rise and massive potential have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe. Real Madrid and AC Milan are two of the biggest clubs that are keen on signing him. While Los Blancos already have Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy in their squad, they are still considering making a move for Udogie.
The Italian international has been on their radar for some time, and new boss Xabi Alonso is believed to be a massive admirer. He could be a great bet for the long run, and with Ferland Mendy struggling to stay fit and investing in him could make sense.
Meanwhile, Milan are also looking for a new left-back amidst uncertainty around the future of Theo Hernandez. If he does end up leaving, the 22-year-old could prove to be just the perfect replacement. However, the player’s agent recently suggested that Italian clubs won’t be able to afford signing him at this stage.
Tottenham consider him an integral part of their plans moving ahead and will only let him leave if an offer of around €50-60 million comes their way. With his contract running until 2030, it certainly won’t be easy to negotiate with Daniel Levy.
While Udogie is happy at Spurs and isn’t actively pushing for a move away, he is open to negotiations with other top clubs if they can agree a deal with the North London club.
