Arsenal agree personal terms with Noni Madueke

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are closing in on the signature of Chelsea attacking sensation Noni Madueke, with personal terms agreed.

According to The Athletic, Noni Madueke could be heading to Arsenal this summer. The North London club have been in talks with the English winger and have managed to agree on personal terms with the Chelsea winger.

Madueke joined PSV Eindhoven’s youth setup back in 2018 as a 16-year-old. He went up the ranks and made a name for himself while playing for their first team before returning to England to join Chelsea at the start of 2023.

The 23-year-old has done a decent job for the Blues over the years. Last season, he was involved in a total of 41 matches and ended up contributing towards 16 goals.

While he has been putting in consistent performances and still has five years left on his deal, his future is up in the air. The Blues have added Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens to their squad this summer.

Their arrival will certainly have an impact on Madueke’s future, and the London club could even look to sanction his departure if the right offer arrives. Arsenal are aware of his situation and are working on a potential deal.

Arsenal could soon sign Madueke

The North London club have been in the market for a versatile forward, and Madueke can certainly help their cause. He could cover for Bukayo Saka on the right and even feature on the left as well as a number nine when needed.

While Mikel Arteta’s team do have other options on their radar, they have been working to sign the 23-year-old and are closing in on his signature. They have been in talks with his camp and have managed to get the green light from the player.

With personal terms agreed, the North London club are considering knocking on Chelsea’s door. So far, they haven’t held any talks with the Blues, but they do have a great relationship with them, which could certainly help.

Both clubs have already done business this summer, as the Gunners have signed Kepa Arrizabalaga by triggering his £5 million ($6.8m) release clause. If Arsenal table a decent offer, there are high chances of this move going through.
