Tottenham optimistic about landing Evann Guessand

The confidence is reportedly rising in the Tottenham camp as they look to sign 24-year-old Ivory Coast international Evann Guessand from Ligue 1 club OGC Nice this summer.

According to a report by Football Insider, Evann Guessand is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 24-year-old OGC Nice forward has emerged as a target for the North London outfit.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will face stiff competition from Fenerbahce, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Wolverhampton Wanderers for Guessand’s signature. However, the Ajaccio-born attacker does not want to move to Turkiye, while the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners are confident of beating their fellow Premier League clubs to his signature.

Evann Guessand and his rise at OGC Nice

Evann Guessand has established himself as one of the most promising attackers in Ligue 1 since breaking into the first-team squad at OGC Nice. A native of Ajaccio, the highly-rated forward spent his formative years in France and broke into the first-team squad at OGC Nice in January 2020.

The 24-year-old was excellent in the 2024/25 season, contributing to 23 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 13 times and providing 10 assists. Meanwhile, the Ivory Coast international has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

London calling?

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Evann Guessand is understandable. The Lilywhites are scouring the market for a versatile attacker this summer amid uncertainties surrounding Richarlison’s long-term future. In addition, Timo Werner has returned to RB Leipzig after a forgettable loan spell with Tottenham.

So, several candidates, including Ademola Lookman, have emerged on Tottenham’s radar, with Guessand also a viable target. While the North London giants face stiff competition from Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Fenerbahce, the OGC Nice attacker does not want to join the Turkish outfit. Meanwhile, the Ligue 1 club will demand £20-25 million to part ways with him this summer.

Recent reports have claimed that the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international is keen on moving to the Premier League in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the confidence is growing in the Tottenham Hotspur camp as they aim to beat Brighton and Wolverhampton Wanderers to his signature.
