Roma expected to finalise move for Atletico’s Jack Raspadori

Giacomo Raspadori is moving closer to becoming a Roma player after providing a definitive total opening to the transfer.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, a decisive meeting took place today between sporting director Ricky Massara and the player’s entourage, effectively unblocking a negotiation that had faced minor delays in recent days.

Notably, the hurdle was never between the clubs, as Atletico Madrid have already accepted Roma’s formal offer for the Italian international. While the forward is currently in Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Supercup, the final green light from the player’s camp means the operation can now proceed to the finish line without further hitches. Furthermore, the reports clarify that there is no issue regarding the salary, with the personal terms already aligned with the club’s parameters.

Indeed, this move represents the culmination of a long-standing pursuit for the Giallorossi. Massara has been working on the operation since as far back as last June, maintaining constant contact with the player’s representatives since mid-December. Despite rumored interest from rivals Lazio, Roma remained confident in their position and have now successfully secured the priority they sought.

Consequently, the finish line is finally approaching for a transfer that Gian Piero Gasperini has been demanding to bolster his attacking options. With the player’s total approval now secured and the agreement with Atletico firmly in place, Raspadori is expected to finalize his return to Serie A shortly after his commitments in the Middle East conclude.
