Borussia Dortmund have joined the race to sign Vasco da Gama attacker Rayan (19).
According to a report from ESPN, Die Schwarzgelben have expressed interest and have made initial contact, but they face competition from Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich. Not only that, Crystal Palace, Porto and Lazio are all named clubs showing a loose interest in the Brazilian.
However, per ESPN, Vasco won’t make it easy for any potential suitor. Rayan holds a reported €80m release clause, although the Brazilian side would entertain offers of around €50m – still likely too much for Borussia Dortmund, while the fee is more feasible for Bayern.
Zenit St. Petersburg have also opened negotiations to sign Rayan, but the Brazil youth international has shown no interest in moving to Russia, and would instead prefer a move to a ‘more prestigious league’.
ESPN report that Rayan, who struck 20 goals in 57 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25, is in no rush to leave his current club.
