PSG have opened contract negotiations with Ousmane Dembélé (28) and Bradley Barcola (23), according to a report from Fabrice Hawkins. The French champions are eager to extend the deals of their forwards after stellar seasons last term.
In addition to wanting to reward their players for their treble winning performances last term, Les Parisiens will also be keen to fend off interest from other clubs. Several clubs including Liverpool and Bayern Munich were linked with a move for Barcola during the summer transfer window.
Foot Mercato report that the Ballon d’Or winner is expected to reject the offer PSG are set to submit to his entourage. Hawkins understands that whilst the UEFA Champions League winners want to keep the former Barcelona forward they fear they will have to break their wage structure due to the forward’s elevated stature after winning the Ballon d’Or.
