According to a report from Foot Mercato, Brighton are interested in signing Nice midfielder Hicham Boudaoui (26) during the winter transfer window. The Premier League club are not the only interested party, with Galatasaray also interested in acquiring the Algerian international midfielder’s services.

The 26-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Les Fennecs, has seen clubs register an interest in his services after some impressive performances at AFCON. Boudaoui has contributed with two assists in the competition thus far, including an eye-catching backheel assist to set up Riyadh Mahrez.

Boudaoui to join Brighton?

Foot Mercato understands that several European clubs have enquired with Les Aiglons regarding his availability, including the Seagulls. However, the Ligue 1 club will be hesitant to lose a key player in January. Nevertheless, the former Paradou AC midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2027, and will be at peak value.
