Juventus in talks to sign Bernardo Silva

Juventus have initiated talks to explore a move for Bernardo Silva on a free transfer when his Manchester City contract expires in the summer.

According to Fichajes, Bernardo Silva is turning plenty of heads in the market, with Juventus the latest to enter the race. The Italian giants are in talks to explore a move for the eight-year Manchester City veteran, who is widely expected to leave once his contract at the Etihad ends in the summer.

Bernardo Silva could be a big talking point of the summer window, as he winds down his Manchester City contract. The midfielder has been a big servant to the club as they won everything under the roof during his near-nine-year stay at the Emirates.

Silva, who joined from Monaco back in 2017, has amassed more than 430 games across all competitions, all under Pep Guardiola. He has been angling for a departure for a few seasons now, but Guardiola has managed to convince him to stay every time speculation rose about an exit.

This time around, the Catalan coach may not have the power to persuade the eight-year Manchester City veteran, as he is coming to the end of his deal at the club. There are a host of teams chasing his signature, including a few from Saudi Arabia.

Benfica are also interested in re-signing Silva in the summer, as he’s also seen as a big talking point of the club’s presidential elections. Barcelona chief Joan Laporta also dreams of signing the experienced midfielder, and now, Juventus have joined the race.

Juventus to sign Bernardo Silva?

Juventus have held initial talks to explore a move for the Manchester City star, as they are eager to snap up another talented free agent in the market. The idea of Silva could seem appealing for the Bianconeri, as they continue to find top-notch solutions at a modest price.

Juventus have garnered a reputation for signing some of the high-profile free agents over the years, as they continue to maneuver through their tough financial issues, which happen to restrict their spending in the market at times. Signing Silva would be a statement of intent for Juventus, but it’s unclear whether they are the frontrunners for the Manchester City star at the moment.
