Younes Namli back with PEC Zwolle just six months after leaving for Ligue 1

Younes Namli is back in the Eredivisie. The Danish attacker left PEC Zwolle in the summer to join Ligue 1 side Le Havre, but after a short stint away he has made his return to Zwolle. Namli has signed a deal with the Eredivisie side that will run for 2.5 years, although it is not clear yet how much, if anything, PEC Zwolle paid to have Namli rejoin them.

The 31-year-old Namli had spent the past two years with PEC Zwolle before leaving in the summer. In that time he had played 49 games, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. Namli has had a varied career, with much of it spent in the Netherlands. He began with SC Heerenveen before joining PEC Zwolle in 2017. Over two years he scored 11 goals in 72 games and earned a move to Russian side Krasnodar. However, in January of 2020 he joined Colorado Rapids on loan. Namli only played 30 games for the MLS side before returning to the Eredivisie with Sparta Rotterdam, again on loan. He left Krasnodar permanently in 2022 after just 18 games and one goal. Namli only spent one season with Sparta before returning to PEC Zwolle.
