Maghnes Akliouche has not made AS Monaco’s matchday squad as they prepare to face RC Lens at the Stade Bollaert on Saturday afternoon.
Akliouche was a doubt for the game due to a hip injury sustained against FC Nantes last weekend. Despite that, the France international started against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, but it has now been decided that he requires time to recover.
He joins a long injury list at Monaco, one which also includes Lukas Hradecky, Eric Dier, Mohammed Salisu, Kassoum Ouattara, Paul Pogba, and Takumi Minamino. This game also comes too early for Christian Mawissa, who is due back next week, whilst Vanderson and Aleksandr Golovin are both out due to suspensions. It leaves the Principality club’s options in attack limited for the trip to face the Ligue 1 leaders.
