Leeds United make approach for Djaoui Cisse move

Leeds United will reportedly look to sign 22-year-old French midfielder Djaoui Cisse from Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by French outlet Media Foot, Djaoui Cisse is the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a versatile midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Stade Rennais prospect has emerged as a target for the West Yorkshire outfit.

The latest report has revealed that the 2024/25 EFL Championship winners have stepped up their efforts to sign the Frenchman by submitting an enquiry to Rennes. However, the Red and Blacks have yet to take a decision on whether they are open to cashing in on Cisse in the summer transfer window.

Djaoui Cisse is the latest promising prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. Born in Juvisy-sur-Orge, the 22-year-old spent his formative years in France, passing through the academies at US Grigny and CS Brétigny Football before graduating from the youth division at Stade Rennais.

The French midfield prospect has made nearly 50 appearances for Stade Rennais thus far while chipping in with one goal. Meanwhile, Cisse’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. An adventure in the Premier League may be on the cards, with Leeds United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Leeds United’s interest in Djaoui Cisse is understandable.
