Roma have made a definitive decision regarding the future of Donyell Malen, with the club now fully committed to securing the Dutch international on a permanent basis from Aston Villa.
According to TMW, the Giallorossi have been so impressed with Malen’s impact that they intend to finalize the transfer regardless of their final league position. While the current loan agreement includes a conditional obligation to buy set at €25m, which will be triggered specifically upon qualification for the Champions League.
The management has decided to proceed with the purchase even if that objective is not met.
Roma have already invested significantly in the forward, having paid a €2m loan fee to bring him to the capital last summer. The total investment of €27m is seen as a necessary move to stabilize the attack for the coming seasons.
Malen has quickly integrated into the squad and convinced the coaching staff of his long-term value, making his permanent stay at the Stadio Olimpico one of the first certainties of the club’s summer planning.
