Official I Florian Sotoca extends Lens contract until 2027

Florian Sotoca (35) has extended his contract with Racing Club de Lens until 2027, the club have officially announced.

Originally tied to the Sang et Or until next June, the striker has now secured his eighth consecutive season with Lens, where he has played since 2019 after arriving from Grenoble Foot 38.

Although he has seen less playing time this season, accumulating only 346 minutes in 21 appearances in all competitions (one goal, one assist), Sotoca remains a Lens legend, having played a major role in propelling the club to the heights of French football.

From promotion to Ligue 1 to the Champions League campaign two years ago, the Narbonne native has experienced it all with Lens, and could still have some exciting times ahead, as his club are still in contention to win the league and are set to return to Europe’s premier club competition next season.

With 241 appearances for Racing, he is now the club’s most decisive player of the 21st century, having scored no fewer than 41 goals.
